The Essay – Writing II

This is one of my most favorite lessons to teach my Writing 2 classes in our co-op. It asks the writer to become someone else–Darth Vader, a hobbit, Prince Caspian, Tinkerbell . . . anyone! Maybe Darth Vader wants to convince his children that he is a good father. Or maybe Frodo wants Tolkien to know that hobbits really do need to wear shoes. What interests your writer? A book? A video game? A sport? Allow your writer to be creative!
